A mature tree adds real value to a Tampa property and shades the house through the summer. The same tree, left untrimmed, drops limbs on the roof and the car.
We trim to keep trees healthy and safe, and we take out the ones that are past saving.
Trimming and thinning
We take out dead wood, crossing branches and weak attachments first. Those fail before anything else in a storm.
Thinning the canopy lets wind through instead of catching it. It is the single most useful thing you can do to a large tree before hurricane season.
We do not top trees. Topping produces weak regrowth, invites decay and permanently damages the tree.
Palm care
Palms want dead fronds and seed pods removed and green fronds left alone. Cutting a palm back to a narrow tuft weakens it and makes it more likely to fail, not less.
Seed pods are also worth removing before they drop, unless you enjoy pulling seedlings out of the beds all year.
Removal and stump grinding
Trees over the house, leaning after a storm, or lifting the driveway sometimes have to come out.
Where there is no room to drop the tree, we take it down in sections. Stumps are ground below grade, and we backfill and sod the area if you want lawn there.
Storm preparation
Before June we can walk your property and tell you which trees are a risk to the house, the pool cage or the power drop, and what the work would cost.
It is far cheaper than the alternative, and tree crews are booked solid once a storm is named.
