Since 1984
It started with one bank on MacDill
Mike Hurlburt retired from the United States Air Force in 1984 and took care of the base golf course and a nearby estate. His first commercial job was a small bank property on MacDill Air Force Base.
That bank became Grow Financial, one of the region’s largest credit unions, and Tampa Turf Services grew with it. In 2020 Mike handed the company to his son Justin, who runs it today.

We tell you before it breaks
A stuck irrigation valve, a limb over a walkway, a silted swale. Each of those is cheap to correct and expensive to repair.
Our own crews do the work
Design, installation, hardscape, tree work and irrigation are all in house. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor you never met.

What areas do you serve?
We work across six counties in the Tampa Bay area: Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk. That covers Tampa, Brandon, Wesley Chapel, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakewood Ranch and the communities between them.
Do you work with both businesses and homeowners?
Yes. Commercial grounds are the larger part of the business, and we also design, install and maintain residential properties and estates.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, fully licensed and insured, with the coverage limits large commercial and HOA agreements normally require. We send certificates directly to your management company.
How long have you been in business?
Since 1984. Mike Hurlburt started the company after retiring from the United States Air Force. His son Justin has run it since 2020.
What does a quote cost?
Nothing. We walk the property, list what needs doing and give you a written price.
